Our CNC Workshop Facilities
Students Receive Training on Industry Standard Machines
You’ll receive hands-on experience in our CNC machine shop where you will learn core concepts and skills that CNC Operators, Set-uppers and Programmers use every day in the work place. IMTT’s machine shop is equipped with 2 – 3 axis CNC Mills, 1 – CNC Lathe with Fanuc Controls and a 5 – axis Mill/Turn with Siemens 840D Control.
Students must complete 15 projects in the workshop before graduating. Students at IMTT do not work in groups but on a one on one basis with the instructor. Each student is responsible for:
- Designing their projects
- Programming using Mastercam and G-Codes
- Setting up
- Operations
- Quality Control
and more!
We find this method to be very effective providing students with confidence and skills to perform well in the workplace.
Classrooms are Designed for Learning and Comfort
Institute of Machine Tool Technology classrooms are spacious and air-conditioned for your comfort. Our small size classes—18 students maximum—allow you to benefit from having better communication with your instructors.
All IMTT classrooms are furnished with projectors and computers loaded with Mastercam and Solidworks.
