No prior machining experience required. If you meet these criteria, you’re ready to apply — and our team will help you through every step of the admissions process.

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or a recognized equivalent credential. Mature student status is accepted.

18 Years of Age or Older

Mature student applicants are welcome regardless of when you completed secondary school.

English Language Proficiency

Sufficient English to follow instruction and read technical documentation. Assessed during the admissions process.

No. The IMTT CNC diploma is designed for career changers and people completely new to machining. The program builds from the ground up — starting with safety fundamentals and blueprint reading before progressing to CNC programming and multi-axis work. If you meet the four admissions requirements, you’re ready to apply.
The diploma is 42 weeks and 1,250 total training hours. It uses a hybrid format — theoretical coursework and computer lab modules are delivered online, while hands-on CNC machine practice (500+ hours) takes place in-person at our purpose-built Mississauga workshop.
