High School Diploma or Equivalent

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or a recognized equivalent credential. Mature student status is accepted.

No. The IMTT CNC diploma is designed for career changers and people completely new to machining. The program builds from the ground up — starting with safety fundamentals and blueprint reading before progressing to CNC programming and multi-axis work. If you meet the four admissions requirements, you’re ready to apply.

How long is the program and how does hybrid learning work?

The diploma is 42 weeks and 1,250 total training hours. It uses a hybrid format — theoretical coursework and computer lab modules are delivered online, while hands-on CNC machine practice (500+ hours) takes place in-person at our purpose-built Mississauga workshop. You get the flexibility of online learning without sacrificing real machine time.
