The Institute of Machine Tool Technology was recommended to me by my employer, as I had taken a new position as a CNC machine operator and had no prior experience in the industry. My employer wanted me to gain a solid understanding of the principles of CNC machining. I found the program to be both effectively delivered and comprehensive, and the professors and administrative staff to be very professional, knowledgeable, approachable, and patient. During my 42 week program, I was unable to attend the college for a 3 month period due to medical reasons. The staff were very accommodating for me and did everything possible to make sure I got back on track following my return. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend iMTT to anyone wishing to attain a solid grounding or upgrade their prior knowledge of CNC machining. Thanks, iMTT!
In 2010, I made a decision to upgrade my skills from being a manual machinist to being a CNC programmer/operator. Looking for an institution that meet my needs would be quite a task, I was full time employed 8:00am to 4:00pm. Searching the internet I discovered IMTT. Made a call and spoke with campus director Mr. Rawle Boodoo. We setup an appointment and I visited the institution. I explained my needs and he explained what the college offered. The time line was perfect for me. I started classes in the fall of 2010 4:30pm to 10:00pm. Encouragement from my fellow students and instructors helped me through difficult days, family life, work and school were tough on me. But at this college the atmosphere was really encouraging. So I put my head down and persevered for the next ten months. With the training I received at this college my company recognized the worth I brought to our company and promoted me to tool designer. Thank you IMTT. I would strongly recommend this institution, they look after their students and encourage to the end, and long after your accomplishments, they are always willing to help in any way they can. Once again I wish to thank all members of staff at IMTT. You made a big difference in my life
Being a year removed from IMTT. I just wanted to send you a short email, thanking you for providing an excellent programming course. It helped me get to where I am today. It’s been an up and down year. I went through three lay offs at different companies. But now I am at Weber Mfg in Midland, ON. I have been there for seven months and things are going well. Thank you again. And I will be referring anyone looking to upgrade or get into the trade to you.
I was recently unemployed and looking for work. I am very passionate about my work and I am always eager to learn new skills and meet with those who are experienced in those fields that I am interested in. During my online search for woodworking positions I focused on looking for positions related to CNC programming which then lead me to find IMTT college which provides this type of training. I decided to take a chance and go back to school at the age of 68. Even though I have been out of school for such a long time, my English not being the strongest and not having any knowledge in this field I was told by my instructor that he would support and encourage me every step of the way. All of the instructors I had the chance to meet were very helpful and supportive indeed. Although I was under a lot of pressure because of the language barrier, to complete assignments on time and prepare for tests in such short periods of time the director never neglected to support me especially seeing the potential that I had. I am very thankful for all of the help I received along the way from all of the instructors, the director and my family.
Straight to the point, I am a CNC programmer/operator at a custom wood shop, many of the stuff that I learn here I was able to apply it in the real world. For instance, I learn how to read “G” codes and manual programming. It is very useful especially if you want to make quick change. On top of that, you know exactly what your machines are doing before you start operating it. I recommend this school to anyone who want to better themselves as a CNC programmer.
The courses offered by IMTT exceeded my expectations in many regards, especially in the depth of information provided. Even with no prior experience to CAD/CAM, I learned how to design and run toolpaths and apply them in my field of manufacturing. I recommend this program to any CNC enthusiast who wants to take their skill to another level.
Best school around for learning about everything CNC.
I checked out many different programs and schools and decided to attend IMTT.
The instructors are phenomenal and this school really prepares you for the workplace.
A+++
I had lost my job as a press operator. I started a job hunt but could not find a job as press operator, even though I had 8 years in that field. I decided to change my career not knowing what to do for the rest of my life. I went to Ontario job center to explore a new direction of employment; with some research I came across the CNC occupation. Not knowing anything in this field, I went to IMTT and completed the CNC program. With the dedicated instructors who demonstrate their professional ability, I was able to get my diploma. Now I am working as CNC operator. I recommend anyone who wants to make this transition to pick up the phone and call. You can be a CNC operator in just one year. Waste no time. Act now. If I did it, you can too.
Attending IMTT has helped me with my career. Their education method is effective, and the teachers are extremely qualified. IMTT offered me the opportunity to build on previous skills and experiences. I am now qualified for jobs that I otherwise would not have been considered for. I was able to find the job I wanted right after graduation. I am grateful to have this experience.
IMTT is not just a college, I can say it’s a life changing school. Education provided by them is amazing and 100%. They made me a good programmer in just 8 months. Not only the education, all staff members are very supporting not even during the education but also after the education that’s the beauty of this college. No, restriction, no stress, only the good education with discipline. One of the best college in GTA which is providing best theoretical as well as practical knowledge of CNC. I want to say thank you to the IMTT from the bottom of my heart.
